Down For…
Cycling… Community… Food… Family… Vibes.
There is something special about West Newfield, ME.
As the leaves begin to turn each fall, the landscape beckons you outside. Maybe it’s the crisp fall air. Maybe it’s the colors on the trees and the angle of the light. Whatever it is, it’s best enjoyed by riding hard and by getting your bike dirty.
Deer Farm CX started as a celebration of racing and community in the White Mountains, and it continues as a key event for athletes from New England and beyond. Each year, the course evolves to incorporate fun features that will keep you on your toes around every corner - berms, jumps, and rollers are just the beginning of what this unique course on an active deer farm has in store. Race. Recover. Ride.
The weekend continues after Saturday’s CX race. Once the riding ends, we’ll be stoking the wood oven and baking handcrafted pizzas with locally sourced ingredients. Our friends down the road at Gneiss Brewing Company generously provide a selection of their craft ales and lagers. And Applegate Deer Farm opens its fields to riders who want to join the community and camp out on site.
Riders who spend the night will be at the front of the pack for Down For Gravel, our untimed gravel ride through the region’s unpaved roads.
Located just two hours from Boston, Newfield, Maine is a jumping off point for miles of back road riding. We hope to see you next year!
